I started with the rough cleaning of the 911 because the fine Californian sand was in every crack, as well as behind the old headlights. I vacuumed everything thoroughly and scrubbed the underbody, fenders etc...Then it was time to disassemble the car. I had to make sure that I didn't disassemble too many components at once, because otherwise you quickly lose track of things. Planning, ordering and time management are the nuts and bolts of a restoration. That's the first thing I learned.In a restoration, there are phases that are usually repeated within the various "construction sites" on the vehicle: disassembly, planning, renewal, repair, and the functional test. I worked through the individual restoration phases step by step and, after more than a year of restoration, it was finally time for its very first test drive.
